Green named State Star by Small Business Development Center
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) named Gwen Green, Communications Coordinator for UALR’s Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC), the State Star for Arkansas at its 34th Annual Conference on Sept. 9 in Grapevine, Texas.
Green, who joined the ASBTDC in 2008, received the award for being an exemplary performer, contributing significantly to the Arkansas SBTDC program and showing a strong commitment to small businesses.
The center names a State Star from each state, regional or territorial SBDC program.
The SBDC network is the Small Business Administration’s largest partnership program, uniting private enterprise, government, higher education and local nonprofit economic development organizations.
It provides management and technical assistance to help Americans start, run and grow their own businesses.
The ASBTDC program is a partnership of the SBA and the UALR College of Business. It assists new, existing, and expanding small businesses and innovation-based ventures through a statewide network of seven offices.
