Students partner to provide relief for Ebola victims
UALR’s chapter of Young Life College is partnering with other schools around the state to help deliver supplies to Ebola victims in West Africa.
Items will be collected in the UALR Donaghey Student Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22 and Thursday, Oct. 23. Supplies may also be dropped off at the UALR Kappa Sigma fraternity on Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The following items are needed:
• Bleach
• Disposable Gloves
• Surgical Masks
• Shoe Covers
• Goggles
• Hand Sanitizer
• Anti-bacterial Soap
• Disinfectants
• Bottled Water
Monetary donations will also be accepted to buy non-contact body thermometers.
The students will travel to Lafayette, La., Saturday morning to place the donations on a barge that will ship the items to the victims.
