Students cash in on TrojanCache for Cash
TrojanCache for Cash, a geocache event for students to learn beneficial information about UALR, continues through Friday, Nov. 7, in 10 locations throughout campus.
“This is a real-life campus treasure hunt for students to have the opportunity to learn more about the university, earn paraphernalia along the way and be entered to win cash prizes,” said Leanna Payton of the UALR Office of Student Housing.
Up to $500 in gift cards will be given away to three grand prize winners.
Clues about the caches’ locations will be posted on UALR’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts for students to search.
TrojanCache for Cash is sponsored by UALR’s offices of Student Housing, Health Services, and Communications.
The website geocaching.com describes geocaching as a “real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices.” Participants locate a set of GPS coordinates and search for the geocache, or container, hidden at that location.
