Wordsworth curator to visit UALR

Jeff Cowton, curator of the Wordsworth Trust at Dove Cottage, will visit UALR at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, in meeting room G of the Donaghey Student Center.

Cowton oversees care of the Wordsworth papers and is in charge of educational programs at Dove Cottage. In recognition of his 30 years of service to the Wordsworth Trust, Cowton was named a member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

His presentation will consider Wordsworth’s life and work as well as the research possibilities at Dove Cottage for students and faculty.

There will be a reception with hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m. The presentation is hosted by UALR’s William G. Cooper Jr. Honors Program in English and is free and open to the public.
