UALR Now gets new digital home
Stories, photos, and videos created by the Office of Communications now have a new site to call home. The site at ualr.edu/news was introduced March 11 and features categorized content, more photos, a video feed, and a new section highlighting the successes of UALR employees.
UALR Now provides a platform that enhances the experience for readers, making it easier to find and share news articles.
“The offices of Digital Strategy and Communications discovered that we were creating and receiving these great stories about our students, faculty, and the university. They were often overlooked in other content and pages or under-represented on the current news site,” Director of Digital Strategy Dan Shisler said. “We decided to build a central location for sharing these stories with prospective students, the Little Rock community, and our university family.”

“Our overarching goal was to embrace all of the people, events, and community interaction that make UALR such a strong metropolitan university,” said Jennifer Godwin, associate director of digital strategy. “We hope this site grows in the depth of storytelling as we share more features from all areas of our university.”
“This site is also responsive and was developed on a forward-looking framework that will allow us to change all of the existing site to be mobile friendly version,” she said. “We hope to use UALR Now to promote the research, programs, and the wonderful and diverse culture we have at UALR.”
UALR Now is part of the digital strategy roadmap that includes a redesigned homepage that will help prospective students and the community learn more about and engage with the university.
