Nunez Earns ‘ESPN The Magazine’ All-District Honors

Senior Juan Carlos Nunez earned “ESPN The Magazine’s” All-District men’s tennis at-large team honors for the third straight season. This season, Nunez made first team honors and will be eligible for College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America honors.

The Valencia, Venezuela, native had a 12-8 record in singles and a 14-6 record in doubles this season. His longest singles winning streak for the season was at four matches. He finished the season with a .600 singles winning percentage.

Nunez began the season ranked No. 13 in the Central Region in doubles with partner German Perez.

Nunez maintained a 3.97 grade point average majoring in speech with a minor in Health Science. He has ,made the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List and UALR Chancellor and Dean’s Lists every semester of his career.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America team will be released on June 10.
