Alum Helps Build ‘Extreme Makeover’ House
Nathan Cooper, who graduated from UALR in 2004 with a degree in construction management, will be glued to his television at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, when the ABC-TV program “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” unveils the house in Bigelow built for the family of a boy with leukemia.
Cooper works for Jack Wilson of Woodhaven Homes, organizer of the one-week construction project for the McCulley family of Bigalow. The family has been unable to live in their house because of mold that is harmful for 10-year-old son Job, who had undergone bone marrow and lung transplants.
The construction effort was featured in this month’s “Building Arkansas” magazine.
