UALR Athletics will induct posthumously long-time supporter and season ticket holder Bill Gwatney into the Trojan Athletic Hall of Fame before the 7 p.m. tip-off of the Thursday, Feb. 26, basketball game against the University of New Orleans.

“Bill was a close friend and a great supporter of UALR Athletics,” said Athletic Director Chris Peterson.

Gwatney, a former state senator, was chair of the Arkansas Democratic Party when he was gunned down at party headquarters last year. A scholarship fund has been established in his memory.
