Colleges, departments, faculty, and student organizations are invited to identify and nominate graduating seniors who have made an outstanding contribution to UALR and the surrounding community.

Nominations for the 2008-2009 Student Honors and Awards are due to the Provost’s Office by April 10, and winners will be honored at a luncheon in May.

The awards to be given are:

• Storthz Plaque – Outstanding Graduating Senior
• Whitbeck Memorial Award – Outstanding Graduating Senior

The Storthz Award is $300 and a plaque that is bestowed for outstanding leadership, character, and making a contribution to student life. The Whitbeck Memorial Award is $2,000 and a plaque for demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, citizenship, and character. Graduating seniors being nominated for either the Storthz or Whitbeck awards individually will be considered for both awards.
