Ottenheimer Materials Now Available on the First Floor
The Ottenheimer Library recently completed the relocation of media materials from the fifth to the first floor. Now all media items, CDs, DVDs, vinyl LPs, videotapes, audiobooks, microfilm and microfiche are available during all Library hours. CDs, DVDs, vinyl LPs, videotapes, audiobooks are available for checkout. Microfilm and microfiche are available for viewing and free printing within the Library.
The most heavily used media formats, CDs and DVDs, are available for browsing on the first floor. Less-used materials, vinyl LPs, videotapes, audiobooks, microfilm and microfiche, are available upon request at the Circulation Desk. Microform reader/printers are available on the first floor, and media listening/viewing stations are available on the second floor for in-house use of materials. Circulation staff will be available to assist with the use of the equipment.
In addition to making the collections more accessible, the relocation frees up much-needed space on the fifth floor for the upcoming move of the UALR Graduate School and Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) to the Ottenheimer Library. As part of this relocation, additional library departments, including Acquisitions, Cataloging, Collection Management and Information Technology, will move from the fifth floor to the third floor later this year.
