Former Senator to Lecture, Sign Books April 14

Former Sen. David Pryor, who has represented Arkansas in Washington and served as governor, will talk about his experiences at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, at the Bailey Alumni Center. The event is sponsored by Iota Mu, the political science honor society.

Pryor will sign copies of his latest book, “A Pryor Commitment.” The UALR Bookstore will have copies of the autobiography available for purchase.

Pryor, a former newspaperman, has been elected state representative, congressman, governor, and U.S. senator (1979-1997). The seat is now held by his son, Mark. The book chronicles a career where Pryor’s curiosity, compassion, and concern for ordinary Americans draw the reader from one colorful vignette to another.
