Industry to Recognize EIT Building Design

Members of the UALR community and the team that designed and built the campus’s new home for the Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology (EIT) will gather at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, building in the lobby to announce and celebrate a new industry recognition of its innovative, sustainable design features and technologies.

Chancellor Joel Anderson will make a brief announcement about the news and recognize partners in the building project.

The six-story building officially opened in September, housing three of the six departments in the constantly expanding EIT college.

The Donaghey college was established 12 years ago when visionaries on campus, the business community, and the state legislature saw that capitalizing on the revolution in computer science, information science, and systems engineering would be a key to economic progress in the 21st century.
