Quality Matters Announces First UALR Recipient
Quality Matters (QM), an organization dedicated to the development of online and blended courses through rigorous faculty-peer review, announced that UALR Health Science Instructor Nita Copeland has received “QM’s Certified Course” recognition for her online kinesiology course.
Copeland’s course meets 17 essential standards and achieved a minimum of 72 points or better of the QM rubric to be awarded the certification. The QM rubric is based on distance education literature, research, and peer review.
Copeland worked with UALR’s Scholarly Technology and Resources (STaR) Department in developing her award-winning course.
“I appreciate the input I have received from STaR over the years that I have been teaching online courses,” Copeland said. “This is the major reason why the course gained the QM recognition certificate.”
