UALR and the community celebrate academic excellence at the 21st Annual Faculty Excellence Awards dinner honoring UALR’s outstanding faculty at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 1, at the Donaghey Student Center.

The 2009 winners in teaching, research, and public service from each college and school will be announced and recognized with awards of $1,000 from the University Foundation Fund.

Three of those winners, chosen by a national panel of educators, will receive the top awards of the year – the $5,000 Public Service Award sponsored by UALR’s Foundation Fund Board, the $5,000 University Faculty Excellence Awards for Research sponsored by PepsiAmericas, and the $10,000 Ted and Virginia Bailey Foundation’s University Faculty Excellence Award in Teaching.
