Two Campus Entrances Sport New Gates
Effective Tuesday, Sept. 1, two entrances to UALR will be gated. The gates will require valid student, faculty, and staff identification cards to open. The new gates are part of the safety measures recommended by the Chancellor’s Special Committee on Safety.
The new gates that will require a valid UALR identification card for entrance are at the campus entrance at Asher Avenue, just east of the University Plaza. Vendors and campus guests will need to access campus via the University Avenue entrance.
Parking Lot 12, the open parking lot on Fair Park and 32nd Street (east of the parking deck), will also be gated and require a valid UALR I.D.
The gates will respond to a valid UALR identification card at any time of day or night.
UALR ID cards can be obtained between 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday outside the bookstore in the Donaghey Student Center. Applicants for a card must present another form of picture identification, such as a driver’s license, when applying for a UALR identification card.
