UALR to hold annual Veterans Day ceremony

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will hold its annual Veterans Day Flag Ceremony at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, in Ledbetter Hall, room B, of the Donaghey Student Center.

The ceremony is an opportunity to honor UALR students, faculty, and staff who are veterans and remember others who have served and continue to serve in the military.

Leading up to the event, the Office of Veterans Affairs at UALR will have honor stars in a variety of colors available to add to a Military Appreciation Tree.

The red-colored honor stars are available to UALR student, faculty, or staff members who currently serve in the military or have prior military service.

White, blue, and yellow honor stars are available to civilians who would like to show their support to veterans. The white-colored honor stars are in memory of a family member who gave their life in the line of duty. A blue-colored honor star is for a family member who is currently serving in the military, and a yellow honor star is to show support and thanks to all service members and veterans.

Honor stars may be picked up from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. now through Friday, Nov. 8, on the second floor of the Student Services Center.
