The UALR Diversity Council is hosting its final Lunch and Learn of the semester in the Donaghey Student Center, Ledbetter Hall, Rooms B and C.

The event will be held at noon Thursday, May 8, and will focus on the release of the Minority Faculty Recruitment and Retention Report, according to Diversity Council Chair and Dr. John W. Miller Jr., associate professor in the School of Social Work.

Miller said this year’s report was devoted to assessing UALR’s current faculty recruitment and retention efforts, recommending areas for improvements, discovering best practices, and developing a plan for implementation.

The decision to focus on recruitment and retention was in large part due to responses received from the UALR Campus Diversity Survey commissioned last year, he said.
