Human Resources to hold training on ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People’

The Department of Human Resources will host a seven-part development and training series for employees beginning Tuesday, Feb. 2, geared toward teaching people how to be more proactive, independent, and able to solve personal and professional problems.

The series, which is based on the best-selling book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey, will run from Feb. 2—March 29.

Workshops include:

  • Habit 1 – Be Proactive – Feb. 2
  • Habit 2 – Begin With the End in Mind – Feb. 10
  • Habit 3 – Put First Things First – Feb. 23
  • Habit 4 – Think Win-Win – March 1
  • Habit 5 – Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood – March 8
  • Habit 6 – Synergize – March 22
  • Habit 7 – Sharpen the Saw – March 29

Employees are welcome to attend any session, although the March 22 workshop has a prerequisite of attendance at the previous five sessions.
