Photojournalist Back from Iraq Discusses Experiences Jan. 30
Photojournalist Thorn Anderson, one of four independent photographers whose pictures and essays on everyday life in war-torn Iraq are the subject of a book and photography exhibit titled Unembedded, will speak from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30 at Dickinson Hall about his recent experiences in Iraq.
The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Middle East Studies program at (501) 569-3331.

They combine photographs and essays with excerpts from two years of personal letters, journal entries, and feature stories to cross front lines and cultural barriers into the lives of a nation in crisis. Theirs is a path to understanding the cost of war.
An exhibit of Unembedded photos and text on the war’s impact on public health will be on exhibit will be on exhibit from Jan. 30 through Feb. 15 at the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health at UAMS and from Feb. 20 through March 9 at the Donald W. Reynolds Library and Technology Center at Philander Smith College.
