Concert Choir Goes On the Road for Spring Tour

UALR’s Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Bevan Keating, embarks on its Spring Concert Tour Friday, March 2, 2007, taking music – both classical and non – to central Arkansas schools and general public.

This bus tour is the first in a number of years for the choir and serves the UALR metropolitan university mission.

The tour, offered free of charge to participating schools, will begin with an 8:30 a.m. concert at North Little Rock High School East followed by a 10 a.m. performance at Bryant High School and at 1 p.m. at Hot Springs High School. UALR’s singers will be joined by the National Park Community Choir, under the direction of Denise Edds, in a 2:30 p.m. masters class. Both choirs will perform at 7:30 p.m at St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Hot Springs. Admission is free.

The UALR Concert Choir was recently featured in the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra production of My Fair Lady.
