Galleries II, III Present 20th Annual Small Works on Paper March 2–28

Open to all Arkansas residents, Small Works on Paper is an annual juried art exhibition sponsored by the Arkansas Artist Registry, a program of the Arkansas Arts Council. This is the 20th year that Small Works on Paper will tour Arkansas. The exhibition is currently hosted by 11 locations throughout the state.

Original works on paper of any medium, no larger than 24 by 24 inches, are eligible for entry. Works must have been completed within the last two years. Purchase awards are selected by the juror and those works become part of the Small Works on Paper permanent collection.

Participating artists must be members of the Arkansas Artist Registry, which may be viewed online at www.arkansasarts.org. The Artist Registry maintains a comprehensive database of Arkansas artists and their work.

David S. Rubin, the Brown Foundation curator of contemporary art at the San Antonio Museum of Art, is the juror for 2007. He is the former curator of Visual Arts at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans.
