UALR celebrated the re-opening of the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall and the dedication of the Remmel Family Fine Arts Lobby with a reception and music performances by the UALR music faculty.
Dr. Tom McMillan, chair of UALR’s Campus Campaign Steering Committee, announced today that UALR faculty and staff raised $428,228 in the 2009 campaign, an increase in participation and tied the second all-time high participation in the fundraising effort.

In the wake of record enrollment and new construction efforts, UALR is launching a new annual giving program created to make a difference for students and the community the institution serves.
Tickets are going fast for UALR’s first “SpectacUALR,” a fundraising event at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Jack Stephens Center, benefitting the Trojan Athletic Foundation. The event will honor Annette Fisher, mother of former Trojan basketball star and Los Angeles Laker Derek Fisher.
