Members of the Drug Enforcement Agency Survivor Benefit Fund has presented UALR with a gift of $5,000 for the Rick Finley Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of the undercover officer who earned a master’s degree from UALR’s Department of Criminal Justice.
UALR will honor Drs. Jonathan Bates and Sally Everson-Bates at the fifth annual Finale on Saturday, April 24 at the Jack Stephens Center. The gala begins with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:30 and entertainment at 8:30 p.m.

The UALR Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building will undergo major renovations beginning May 16 following two generous private donations in conjunction with matching funds from the sale of University bonds.
Five UALR students studying international business will receive $500 scholarships from Advancing Management Education (AME), a giving circle supporting the College of Business.
Marilyn and Greg Brown of Deer Mountain, Utah – formerly of Benton – each earned a bachelor of business administration degree, and he went on to graduate from the Bowen School of Law.
UALR will receive $1.9 million from PepsiAmericas for unrestricted support of athletics, student services, student scholarships, and faculty excellence in exchange for pouring rights on campus, said Bob Denman, UALR’s executive director of Development.

UALR Department of Music has created a $19,000 endowment to honor Little Rock music patroness Mary Fletcher Worthen to support the University’s instrumental music program.
Rush F. Harding III, a longtime businessman and philanthropist, and his wife Linda have presented UALR with a gift of $100,000 to support Trojan athletics.
