For anyone who is worried about gaining weight during the holiday season, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has the answer.
All UA Little Rock faculty, staff, students, and members of the Fitness Centerare invited to join the Holiday Weight Management Challenge.
Most people typically gain 1 to 5 pounds during the holidays, but they do not lose that extra weight throughout the year.
“The easiest way to avoid this continuous weight gain is to not gain it at all,” said Naomi Fletcher, coordinator of fitness. “The goal of the program is to avoid gaining even one pound during the holidays.”
Late registration is available from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, and 11 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5.
The program’s weigh-in days are Dec. 4, Dec. 11, Dec. 18, and Jan. 3, 2018.
