UA Little Rock to Kick-off Fall Semester with Welcome Week
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will welcome its returning students with a week of fun events to help kick start the fall 2023 semester.
The fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 21, and Welcome Week runs through Friday, Aug. 25.
Students can start off the first day of school with free breakfast and coffee in the Donaghey Student Center from 8-10 a.m. and pick up free t-shirts to show off their school spirit from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Additional events include a block party, Greek game night, student resource fair, scavenger hunt, carnival, trivia night, and food truck Friday.
These events are a great opportunity for students to start the semester strong by surrounding themselves with their peers and simply having fun.
The daily events are as follows:
Monday, Aug. 21
- Free breakfast and coffee, Donaghey Student Center Foyer, 8-10 a.m.
- Welcome Tents, Donaghey Student Center, Lot 4, and Fine Arts Building Lawn, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Maroon Monday T-shirt Giveaway, Donaghey Student Center Foyer, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Block Party, Trojan Lane, 6-8 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 22
- Free breakfast and coffee, Donaghey Student Center Foyer, 8-10 a.m.
- Welcome Tents, Donaghey Student Center, Stabler Hall, and EIT/Fine Arts buildings, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Chillin’ with the Greeks, Donaghey Student Center Cafeteria, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Greek Game Night, Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall, 6-8 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 23
- Free breakfast and coffee, Donaghey Student Center Foyer, 8-10 a.m.
- Trojan Engage Resource Fair, Donaghey Student Center, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Carnival, Donaghey Student Center Upper Concourse, 4-7 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 24
- Free breakfast and coffee, Donaghey Student Center Foyer, 8-10 a.m.
- Trivia Night, Ottenheimer Library Room 353, 6-7 p.m.
- Trojan Scavenger Hunt, All Day, List will be posted at 8 a.m. on Trojan Engage App
Friday, Aug. 25
- Free breakfast and coffee, Donaghey Student Center Foyer, 8-10 a.m.
- Rock the Lot, Fine Arts Building Lawn, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Cookout with the Greeks, University Village, 6-8 p.m.
