Little Rock Public Radio to Celebrate 50th Anniversary

After 50 remarkable years of serving the central Arkansas community, KUAR/KLRE Public Radio is proud to unveil its new identity as Little Rock Public Radio.

Little Rock Public Radio will hold a special celebration on Dec. 7 to celebrate 50 remarkable years of providing public radio news, entertainment, and programming to the central Arkansas community.

The 50th anniversary celebration will be held Dec. 7 at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, 601 Main St., Little Rock. Patrons are invited to attend the annual meeting, silent auction, and cake cutting ceremony, beginning at 4 p.m. in the Fosters Lounge at the Rep.

The event promises an unforgettable evening with the premier of NPR Code Switch live at 6 p.m. with live music, local poets, and the opportunity to meet NPR hosts. Tickets for this portion of the celebration are sold out.

This celebration is a testament to the impact of public radio in the Arkansas community and its enduring mission to inform, inspire, and connect.
