UA Little Rock Welcomes Students Back to Campus
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will welcome its returning students with a week of fun events to help kick start the fall 2024 semester.
The fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 19, and Welcome Week runs through Friday, Aug. 23.
Students can kick off the semester by participating in fun activities like a block party, student resource fair, campus scavenger hunt, kickball, and esports open house.
These events are a great opportunity for students to start the semester strong by surrounding themselves with their peers and simply having fun.
The daily events are as follows:
Monday, Aug. 19
- Help Station, Donaghey Student Center Foyer, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- SEC T-Shirt Giveaway, Library Plaza, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Block Party Kick-Off, Trojan Lane at Campus Living, 6-8 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 20
- Help Station, Donaghey Student Center Foyer, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Scavenger Hunt, List of pictures will be released at 8 a.m. on Trojan Engage and Instagram @ualrsec
- Hot Dogs and Hammocks Hang, Amphitheater by Coleman Creek, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Trivia Night, Ottenheimer Library 535, 6-7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 21
- Registered Student Organization and Resource Fair, Library Plaza, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- MythBusters: Sex Education, Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall A, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Organizing Your Life Online, Dickinson Hall 101, 12-1 p.m.
- School of Human Inquiry Open House, Stabler Hall 201, 2-4 p.m.
- Meet the Greeks, Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall, 6-8 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 22
- Kickball Pickup Games, Trojan Lawn, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Trojan All-Stars Competition, Jack Stephens Center, 4-6 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 23
- Food Truck Friday: World Fest Celebration, Library Plaza, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The first 100 students get a free t-shirt! Meals will be made available for purchase for faculty, staff, and those interested in participating with the vendors
- Tour UA Little Rock Downtown, 3-6 p.m.
- Esports Open House, Engineering Technology and Applied Sciences Building Room 101
