Dr. Carl Stapleton has more than 40 years of experience as an environmental professional. His education includes a B.S. in Environmental Health Sciences from Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Michigan; and a Master of Public Health in Environmental Administration and a Ph.D. in Environmental Health Sciences, both from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor Michigan.
At the University of Arkansas Little Rock, Dr. Stapleton coordinates the BS in Environmental Health Sciences within the Department of Biology and teaches both environmental and biology courses. While at UA Little Rock, Dr. Stapleton has provided various expert consultation and professional services. Examples of these services are as follows: Expert witness consultation with various law firms involving cases such as dioxin contamination in Jacksonville, Arkansas, Train derailment and chemical spill in Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Water Quality/Watershed studies related to Lake Winona and Lake Maumelle; Central Arkansas Water, Vice-Chair of the Lake Maumelle Watershed Task Group; and City of Little Rock, Integrated Vector Management Program, Mosquito Surveillance & Control.
