Dr. Xiu Ye is a distinguished professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at UA Little Rock. Her research interests include numerical solutions of partial differential equations and finite element methods. She has received more than $800,000 in grant funds for her research and published more than 120 research articles in academic journals.
Dr. Ye received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Wuhan University. Additionally, she received master’s degrees in mathematics and mechanical engineering and a Ph.D. in applied mathematics, all from the University of Pittsburgh. She joined UA Little Rock in 1991 and also served as a visiting professor at Purdue University and Texas A&M University.
