Dr. Kathryn King earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee. She has been a faculty member at UA Little Rock since 2009. Her research involves studying the evolutionary history of modern humans as evidenced in variation in the size and shape of the skeleton.
She also studies how cultural behaviors, such as taking hormonal birth control, affect human biology and behavior. Dr. King also conducts research on best practices for teaching college science courses. She teaches courses in Biological (physical) Anthropology, Forensic Anthropology, the Anthropology of Death, and Race and Human Variation.
