Chelsea Pacheco is a clinical assistant professor of nursing at UA Little Rock, dedicated to educating and mentoring future nurses. She has an associate degree in nursing from UA Little Rock, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Arkansas, and a master’s degree in nursing from Western Governor’s University. She is enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Arkansas State University.
After graduating from UA Little Rock in 2009, she began her nursing career in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, caring for children with congenital heart defects. She later transitioned into clinical informatics, managing electronic health records and educating staff on its use. Her experience expanded into case management, where she coordinated patient care and discharge planning. Additionally, she worked on appeals and denials, both from the provider and insurance sides, ensuring proper payment for services.
