Meaghan Herbold, a senior physics major, constructed these massive 14-foot-long red wings made of poplar wood, bamboo, faux fur, and goose feathers for her project “Applied Physics for the Design and Construction of Articulated, Electronic Wings.”

Meagan Herbold, who will graduate in May, chose the University of Arkansas at Little Rock because she wanted to stay close to home and save money for graduate school.
