All potential applicants must attend Pre-admission Advising by the Department of Nursing prior to submitting an application.
The purpose of the session is to provide students with information regarding the program and is not to be confused with academic advising for registration clearance for pre-nursing students. Academic advising for registration for pre-nursing majors is provided by by the College of Education and Health Professions Advising Center.
During the information session we will discuss admission criteria, entrance exams, schedules, clinical rotations, coursework requirements, application deadlines, expectations for entering the program, and what it means to be a nurse and a nursing student. Staff will be available to answer questions and review coursework. Official advising of transcripts must be done through scheduled appointment.
Sessions at the Main Campus will be held in the Pat Walker Center for Nursing Education Room 205 or 206. View the campus maps for building location and parking information.
Remember, this session will begin at the EXACT TIME indicated. Students will need to arrive 15 minutes early in order to park and locate our department.
If there is a schedule conflict from another course, individual appointments can be made with Jon Vickers at (501) 569-8070.
