All potential applicants must attend a Pre-Admission Information Session hosted by the Department of Nursing prior to submitting an application to the Department of Nursing for the AAS program.
The purpose of the session is to provide students with information regarding the program and is not to be confused with academic advising for students taking classes at UA Little Rock in an upcoming semester. Academic advising is for fully admitted students registering for courses in the upcoming semester and is provided by the College of Education and Health Professions Advising Center.
During the information session we will answer questions and discuss the following:
- admission criteria
- steps to apply
- transferring credit
- schedules, clinical rotations
- coursework requirements
- expectations for entering the program
- what it means to be a nurse and a nursing student
Sessions at the Main Campus will be held in the Pat Walker Center for Nursing Education Room 205 or 206. Google maps will direct you to the campus, but not to the Pat Walker Nursing Building. Please refer to the Campus Maps for visitor parking information and building location.
Remember, this session will begin at the EXACT TIME indicated. Students will need to arrive 15 minutes early in order to park and locate our department.
