The nationally-ranked UA Little Rock Nursing program prepares students to be skilled and compassionate nurses. Our nursing students are highly regarded by employers for being well prepared and having outstanding critical thinking and communication skills.
All potential applicants must attend a Pre-Admission Information Session hosted by the School of Nursing before submitting an AAS application.
Majors and Programs
All program options offer the knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential to the competent nurse and are taught in settings ranging from the classroom, campus skills laboratories, area hospitals, outpatient, online, and other healthcare facilities.
Nursing Program Details
- Student to RN (AAS) – students earn required credentials to take the state RN exam (NCLEX). 2 year option on the University application.
- LPN/Paramedic to RN (AAS) – only for licensed LPN/Paramedics who want to transition to RN. 2 year option on the University application.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – students take add’l courses for BSN while completing AAS. 4 year option on the University application.
- RN to BSN online program – only for licensed RNs and recent graduates of an associate/diploma RN program. The RN to BSN program accepts applications year-round. Online RN to BSN option on University application.
