The 2014 L.C. and Daisy Bates Luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at Moody Chapel AME Church located at 5630 Mabelvale Pike in Little Rock.
The featured speaker will be Rev. Ricky Hicks of Rufus King Young Christian Church. In addition to the keynote, CMA will also share information on its current emphasis, empowering African American males through a supportive network of peer and senior mentors.
Tickets for the event are $50 with tables of eight for $400.

“The members of the Christian Ministerial Alliance are excited to host this annual fundraiser on the Daisy Bates holiday as a reminder of the contributions of the Bates family to the national Civil Rights Movement and to the Little Rock community specifically,” said Rev. Marion Humphrey, CMA chairperson.
The annual event assists in funding the operations of the Bates Museum National Historical Site.
