awareOutraged and saddened by the deadly police shooting of Michael Brown and other incidents of police brutality aimed at young African Americans, UA Little Rock students, Akshaya Garimalla and Mackenzie Bolt launched A.W.A.R.E. (­­­­­Advocating for the Wellbeing And Respect of Everyone) in 2015. A.W.A.R.E. is an inter-sectional social justice organization that provides a safe place for students to discuss social injustice in the United States as it pertains to race, gender, sexuality, and class.  Learn more…

nacpAfter being dormant for several years, UA Little Rock’s Collegiate Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People reformed in 2015 thanks to UA Little Rock student and chapter president Kalan Horton.
