Eclipse 2024 – Join Us At UA Little Rock

We are pleased to extend an invitation to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock community and the public for an insightful and educational solar eclipse event on Monday, April 8. This event, hosted at the Jack Stephens Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offers a unique opportunity to experience a significant astronomical event.
EVENT OVERVIEW
Observation Opportunities: Utilize our Celestron solar telescopes for an up-close view of the eclipse, displayed on large screens for all to enjoy.
Educational Activities: An inflatable planetarium, a Foucault’s pendulum, and a variety of demonstrations will be available, alongside children’s activities such as crafting pinhole viewing boxes and eclipse-themed art.
Special Lecture: Alaina Levine, author of “Networking for Nerds,” will speak at 10 a.m.
