Flu Vaccination Clinic

October 2 at 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Influenza (flu) vaccination is essential to flu prevention on our campus every year.  Health Services is pleased to host our annual flu vaccine clinic for the campus community:

Date: Wednesday, October 2, 2024 | 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Location: Lower Concourse of the Donaghey Student Center (area between the bookstore and Health Services)

Fluarix is the trivalent flu vaccine available this flu season at Health Services (all flu vaccines are trivalent this year). It provides protection against the following three influenza viruses for the 2024-2025 flu season:

A/Victoria/4897/2022 (H1N1) IVR-238

A/Thailand/8/2022 (H3N2) IVR-237

B/Austria/1359417/2021 BVR-26 (B-Victoria lineage)

Fluzone is the trivalent high-dose vaccine available for individuals 65 years and older. There are a limited number of high-dose vaccines available at the flu vaccine clinic, so please specify that you need a high-dose vaccine if you are eligible (65 years and older). It provides protection against the following three influenza viruses for the 2024-2025 flu season:

A/Victoria/4897/2022 IVR-238 (H1N1)

A/California/122/2022 SAN-022 (an A/Thailand/8/2022-like virus)

IF YOU HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE

Please bring a hard copy of your health insurance card (front and back) with you. If you only bring your health insurance card, you must make a copy at the front desk inside Health Services before completing the paperwork for your flu vaccine.

IF YOU DON’T HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE

Go to the cashier’s office in the Student Services Center and tell them you need to pay $20 for a flu shot. Bring the receipt to the front table in the Lower Concourse to get your flu vaccine.

Remember to dress for easy access to your upper arm!
