J.W. Wiggins Native American Art Collection – tour
The J. W. Wiggins Native American Art Collection, located on the second floor of the Fine Arts Building on the UA Little Rock campus, has three exhibits currently on display. On the second floor are Sculptures in FA 271, and in Gallery 3 is “Looking to the Future by Looking to the Past: A Ledger Drawing Exhibit of today’s Ledger Drawings.” On the first floor is an Oklahoma Indian Pottery Exhibit, which can be viewed in the room at the East end of the Percussion Gallery. Continuing past the drums around the hallway to the East is an amazing group of pieces of pottery.
Dr. Wiggins will be offering tours of the spaces from October 15-18 at 3:00 p.m. each day. On other weekdays, he is usually on campus around 3:30 p.m. and enjoys speaking with those interested in Indian Arts and giving exhibit tours. His office is located in FA 270; if you see the lights on, feel free to knock. He would love to meet with you!
