Lecture: Dongyi Wu, Windgate Artist in Residence Fall 2024

Join us for a lecture with Dongyi Wu, an internationally known jewelry artist whose work engages with the body, materiality, and the meanings encoded within objects. Wu, originally from China, has participated in numerous residencies at institutions such as the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, the Baltimore Jewelry Center, Clamp Light Studios, the Penland School of Craft, and Contemporary Craft. As an undergraduate, she studied at the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, and later earned her MFA at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She has won numerous awards and exhibited widely, including at New York Jewelry Week, at the JCC Contemporary Jewelry Center in Shanghai, with SNAG (the Society of North American Goldsmiths), the Craft Council of British Colombia in Vancouver, and the Crafts Museum in Barcelona, Spain, to name just small sample.
