The Labor Department states that we do not enough workers with the education needed to fill jobs in today’s society. A recent study by ManpowerGroup found that there are openings in science, technology, and engineering, but the number of Americans graduating with those degrees is plummeting.
The primary mission of the National Math and Science Initiative and Arkansas AIMS is to get more students college-ready. Then to prepare them for these jobs in math, science, engineering, and technology.
