TANYA RUBLE, Director of Science Programs

Tanya Ruble started as the new science director in June 2020, but has been an active AR AIMS participant and presenter since the inception of AR AIMS in 2008. Tanya received a BS in Biology from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR.  She began her teaching career at Arkadelphia High School in 1998 teaching chemistry.  Through her tenure at AHS, Tanya taught Chemistry, Pre-AP Chemistry, Biology, Chemistry in the Community, PhysicalScience, and AP Chemistry.  She served as Beta Club Sponsor, Parental Involvement Coordinator, Badger Scholar Coordinator, Cheer Sponsor, and Science Department Chair.  Arkadelphia was a Cohort 3 AR AIMS school and Tanya served as the science lead teacher during that time.  While raising a family and teaching, she received her Master’s degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR in Gifted and Talented and her Ed Specialist degree in Administration.  Tanya has been a presenter for AR AIMS since 2016, helped with the PAP Physical Science Google site, and built the PAP Chemistry Google site.   In 2015-16, Tanya worked for the College Board writing AP Chemistry curriculum and is an AP Chemistry Exam Reader. When Tanya is not working at AR AIMS, she is enjoying time with her husband, children, grandchildren, chickens, and garden.  She also enjoys canoeing/kayaking Arkansas rivers and hiking trails while exploring the flora of the state.
