Saturday and Sunday, December 2 & 3, 9 AM – 5 PM with a lunch break

If you have an interest in learning the art of blacksmithing, this class will get you started! Lisa Geertsen is a female identifying blacksmith who is dedicated to creating safe spaces for all to learn this historically male dominated craft. Students will learn basic forging techniques such as hammer control, tapering, twisting, cutting, punching holes and bending. This 2-day workshop will give students the skills to move forward with personal projects. No experience necessary.

The workshop has limited enrollment, and registration is required.

This workshop is in person at the Windgate Center of Art + Design.
