Michele Noiset grew up in Connecticut, learning to draw from her grandfather. Drawing quickly became her passion and inspired her to get a BFA in illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. After completing her undergrad career she moved to Boston and pursued a long and fruitful career as a freelance illustrator working on a national level. She has completed a myriad of jobs within the publishing, advertising, and editorial sectors consisting of everything from puzzles and ornaments to snowboards and rugs. Some of the notable clientele she has worked with include McDonald’s, Nickelodeon, Staples, the New York Times and the Boston Globe.

After a successful freelance career Noiset returned to school at the University of Massachusetts (UMD) to earn her MFA. With the new path she explored her work and the imagery she portrayed. Upon receiving her degree she was given a position as an illustration professor at UMD, teaching for two years and encouraging students to challenge themselves. In the fall of 2013 she relocated to Memphis,TN accepting the position of Associate Professor/Head of the Illustration Department at the Memphis College of Art and Design. In the new environment she worked closely with students, revamping and uplifting the illustration department.

After the unfortunate closing of the Art College, Michele made her way to the UA Little Rock School of Art and Design. Her move to the south has encouraged her to push herself creatively and she looks forward to continuing and expanding her creative journey.
