Teacher Mentorship

As part of the ATLE “Enhanced Teaching and Learning Fellow Initiative,” in FY2019-2020 Dr. Brad Minnick became a ​Teacher Mentor Fellow​, whose primary responsibilities would be to informally observe and advise instructors (particularly beginning instructors) during their teaching performances, to engage in pre- and post-teaching conversations with the faculty observed, and to help facilitate the solving of teaching and classroom problems, as necessary.

 

Additional responsibilities will include providing for “teaching moments” seminar opportunities, in which ATLE participants will actively engage in experiential “in-the-classroom” teaching opportunities across campus and a writing an ATLE “Teaching Moments” one-minute spot to be aired on KUAR 89.1. Support for this Teacher Mentor Fellow has been designated by the Office of the Provost to begin in FY 2019-2020.
