To guarantee the success of our website, we have to make sure we can efficiently support it. All parts of the website must be accounted for and actively maintained. Web Governance refers to the structure of people, processes, and policies that maintain and manage our website. It ensures ualr.edu remains accurate, accessible, and meets the needs of our audiences.

All departments and units are responsible for their web content and are accountable to Communications and Marketing for the timely maintenance of their websites.

Editing Access

An editor must receive WordPress training from Communications and Marketing in order to receive editing access.

Units are responsible for informing Communications and Marketing if an author, editor, or site manager no longer needs access. Failure to do so can result in a unit losing editing access. 

Communications and Marketing may revoke editing access for any of the following reasons:

Group training sessions are held virtually throughout the year. Please have your manager submit a request if you need editing access.
