The Green Dot Amazing Race is a team-oriented obstacle course designed to test knowledge about Green Dot and general campus safety principles. Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. For more information, visit

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to take a break with our DPS Officers and other emergency responders for our campus community.

Tuesday, August 27, 12:15 – 1:30 p.m.
Active Shooter Presentation | Demonstration
Meeting Rooms A, B and C – (Refreshments served)
This training program is designed to instill the survival mindset and teach realistic strategies for dealing with an active shooter situation on campus.

Wednesday, August 28, 3 p.m.
Campus Safety & Discipline: Strengthening the Spirit of Collaboration
Meeting Room A – (Refreshments served)
This meeting will strengthen the collaboration between DPS, Student Housing and the Office of the Dean of Students regarding campus safety and discipline.

Thursday, August 29, 6 p.m.
Self-Defense Demonstration / Presentation
DSC Fitness Center Courts 3 & 4 – (Refreshments served)
Students will learn basic self-defense to help defend themselves against much larger and stronger attackers.
