Employee Focus Group

The mission of the Employee Focus Group (EFG) and the Facilities Management Scholarship Fund is to help improve and provide the highest quality work environment for the employees of the Facilities Management department. We strive to improve the quality of life by promoting the value of learning, self-worth, and quality performance among staff so that they may become productive and responsible participants in society.

What does the EFG do?

The EFG is comprised of an employee from each shop who volunteers their time, and they meet monthly to discuss any suggestions made to them via any avenue. For example, any verbal, emailed, or written suggestion is discussed at the monthly meetings, and it is decided how to address that suggestion.

In addition, The Facilities Management Scholarship Fund was established to aid Facilities Management employees with meeting their educational and personal goals. The EFG committee members are tasked with reviewing all scholarship applications to determine the recipients and deciding upon the scholarship’s criteria.

How do I make a suggestion to the EFG?

If you have a suggestion, we encourage you to contact one of the EFG committee members, or use our suggestion box. All suggestions are kept as anonymous as possible, and we value your input. Suggestions are taken seriously and discussed at the monthly meetings in order to work toward a resolution.

How do I become a member of the EFG?

You can inquire about becoming a committee member of the EFG by contacting one of the current members. Assistant Directors and Directors do not serve on the committee. If you are interested in serving on the committee, please know that it is on a volunteer basis, and committee members serve for two consecutive years.
