Energy Curtailment

November 14, 2018 at 6:30 am - 10:20 am

Entergy has called a curtailment period for UA Little Rock and other Operational Interruptible Service (OIS) customers for Wednesday, November 14th.

In accordance with our OIS agreement, we will disconnect from Entergy power and operate on the campus generator plant for the duration of the event. This will involve brief power outages (less than 10 seconds) for all main campus buildings except the Office of Purchasing, parking deck, Chancellor’s residence, University District building and Facilities Management at approximately 6:30 a.m. when generators come online and again at approximately 10:20 a.m. as we return to Entergy power.

All students and employees are advised to ensure any computer or electronic equipment is turned off or powered through UPS battery backup during each outage. Once power is restored after the blip, computers and other electric equipment can be restored.

The Bowen School of Law, Benton Center, Children International, and Curran-Conway field will not be impacted by this event.
