Congregation Resources

This page is for congregations that are participating in the 2020 Little Rock Congregations Study. We are so excited to have you as partners this fall! We hope that you and your members will see many benefits from participating, including:

  • Your members will feel listened to and you will get to learn more about their needs and interests.
  • You will learn about opportunities to connect with other congregations and nonprofits in Little Rock, who are working on community issues that matter to your members.
  • You will help UA Little Rock students learn beyond the classroom through a community experience they will never forget.
  • You will help researchers better understand the impact of communities of faith in Little Rock.

These benefits will increase the more people respond to the survey. We want to make participation as easy as possible on you and your members. On this page, you will find a number of resources, including:

  • A Frequently Asked Questions Sheet. This one-page document can be printed out or shared electronically to answer some of the most common questions congregants may have about the survey.
  • A Suggested Timeline for Survey Communication. This chronological checklist runs through our suggested type and date for each communication regarding the survey, with a corresponding email, announcement, or social media post provided in the Communication Templates document. Congregations can adapt this timeline to fit their needs.
  • Communication Templates. A Word document with suggested email and announcement language, as well as language for social media posts, which can be customized for your congregation and easily copied/pasted. Graphics for social media posts are available below, organized by post number, corresponding to the Communication Templates document. You can also view and download this file, with embedded social media graphics, through Google Docs.
  • A Printable Version of the Survey. For congregation members who do not have Internet access or do not want to take the survey online, they can use this printable version. We also have self-addressed postage-paid envelopes, which we can provide to congregation leaders, so members can return the surveys directly to UA Little Rock at no cost.
  • A video announcing the start of the surveys: https://youtu.be/t47VL_6AGhQ.

Below, you will find profiles of all of the UA Little Rock student researchers who are working on the project this fall. These are the students who will help write the report specific to your congregation. Thank you for helping to provide such a unique learning opportunity for them!

These students also conducted original analyses and produced infographics as part of their coursework. You can check out their projects on our results page here: https://research.ualr.edu/lrcs/results/.
